Americans spent over $8 million dollars last year on pet accessories. Celebrity pet owners have made doggy clothing and accessories even more fashionable than ever.

Dog and cat owners strive to outdo one another in adorning their pets in outrageous outfits, jewelry, and toys. Louis Vuitton and Gucci have already entered the high end of this lucrative market. Mid range pet outfitters like Yap Wear and Von Dutch sell 'hoodies' - a basic hooded sweatshirt that no well-dressed dog should be deprived of - for around $60, but Target has come out with a line for under $15.

You can also order an alligator-hide leash for your dog... or a kangaroo-skin collar for your alligator... or maybe a rabbit-skin toy rat for your cat... or a lizard-skin ball for your rabbit... or, of course, a sheepskin carrier for your pet rat. We couldn't find a single thing for your pet sheep, though.
